Guide to Disney Advance Dining Reservations

The most popular dining locations at Walt Disney World tend to book up quickly. Don’t expect to get a favorite dining location on the day you want it. Disney’s Advance Dining Reservations, often referred to as ADRs, are the system for making reservations at table-service restaurants at Walt Disney World.

Do I need a Reservation?

At quiet times, perhaps not for many locations, but the most popular restaurants book up in advance throughout the year. During busy periods, including any free dining periods, you will need to make a reservation for most restaurants.

When can I book Advance Dining Reservations?

If you visited Walt Disney World before 2020, you might remember a 180-day reservation window for dining venues. This changed when Walt Disney World reopened to a 60-day reservation window, and there have been no indications that this will change.

All guests, including day visitors, can book reservations for Disney restaurants 60 days in advance. Walt Disney World Resort guests can reserve up to 60 days in advance for their length of stay (up to 10 days).

The most popular restaurants do book up quickly, so it’s best to plan to book as soon as your window opens. If you need help calculating when you can start making reservations, this calculator will help. Bookings open early in the morning (Eastern time) on your 60-day mark.

Reservations can be made on the Walt Disney World website or via the My Disney Experience App.

Important: An ADR does not guarantee theme-park entry. For restaurants located within a park, you’ll need a valid admission ticket for that park (Park Hopper rules apply).

Does the Disney Dining Plan guarantee me a table?

No, you still have to book with everyone else.

Failure to book will result in the loss of your credits. If you experience any difficulties, contact your resort concierge for assistance.

Which are the hardest-to-book restaurants at Walt Disney World?

There is no definitive list on these, and you will get different opinions. Still, I wouldn’t delay getting these reservations: Space 220 (lunch/dinner), Cinderella’s Royal Table, Be Our Guest (dinner), Story Book Dining at Artist Point, Steakhouse 71 (prime times), ‘Ohana (breakfast/dinner), California Grill (signature hours), Topolino’s Terrace (breakfast), 1900 Park Fare (breakfast/dinner), Yak & Yeti (lunch/dinner).

What else do I need?

A Credit Card!

Walt Disney World restaurants require a credit card to guarantee the reservation when booking. You will be advised of the Cancellation Policy at the time of reservation, which you should read carefully.

Restaurants offering reservations usually charge a $10 per-person cancellation fee for reservations canceled within 2 hours of the scheduled time or for no-shows. A few restaurants charge significantly higher fees, including the full cost of the booking.

Can I book tables at Quick Service Restaurants?

Currently, no Quick Service locations are accepting Advance Dining Reservations.

Most locations accept Mobile Ordering via My Disney Experience. We highly recommend taking advantage of this, especially during busy periods.

I am struggling to get my must-do reservation. Any tips?

Be flexible! Consider changing your day or time of booking. Often, reservations will be available outside of peak dining times.

Be persistent, plans change, and reservations often do become available. However, decide on a second-choice reservation and make a booking so you don’t end up without one. Remember, if you do change to cancel your original reservation.

If you are a large party, consider splitting your reservation. On arrival, you can always ask at the podium if it will be possible for you to be seated together or nearby.

Try OpenTable

Many restaurants at Disney Springs also offer reservations on OpenTable, and availability may vary. If you are struggling to book, make sure you check OpenTable.

I have no reservations today. What should I do?

Many restaurants will have a walk-up list, which you can access via My Disney Experience. Podiums generally no longer accept walk-ups and ask you to use My Disney Experience.

You will usually have greater success using the walk-up list outside the most popular meal times.
