La Crêperie de Paris at EPCOT is somewhere I had been looking forward to eating at. The new Crêperie opened with the Ratatouille Expansion of EPCOT’s France Pavilion. To be honest, I left a little disappointed with the experience.

There is nothing bad with La Crêperie de Paris; the food was quite pleasant, but there isn’t anything exciting about it. At Disneyland Paris, there is Bistrot Chez Rémy, and the theming of this venue is fantastic.
I rarely compliment Disneyland Paris, but they have done the Ratatouille area much better than Walt Disney World. At Bistrot Chez Rémy, the restaurant looks over the ride, and you sit in oversized Ratatouille-themed decor. La Crêperie de Paris, on the other hand, is outside of the ride, and the dining venue looks more like a school canteen than a well-themed Disney Restaurant.

La Crêperie de Paris serves two types of pancakes:-
- Galettes (Buckwheat Crêpes), which are savory.
- Crêpes (Dessert) is your more traditional sweet crepe/pancake.

We opted for Galettes, which was probably our big mistake. There is nothing wrong with Buckwheat Crêpes, but I would rather have a more traditional crepe. The filling was nice, but the crepe was less so. Portions were big, so we didn’t have room to try the more appealing Dessert selections afterward.

However, one positive thing about Buckwheat Pancakes is that they are gluten-free, and there is a massive list of choices for guests with Gluten allergies/intolerances. Dessert Pancakes contain gluten but can be swapped for a Buckwheat instead. However, I’m not sure how well a Buckwheat Crepe will work as a dessert.

There is also a quick service window called Crêpes À Emporter by La Crêperie de Paris just outside the main Crêperie. Menu choices are much smaller but are considerably cheaper. I think next time we fancy a crepe, we will stop there instead.
