Three months into 2023, it is time to update ModernLifeIsGood. Our guides are a bit dated, and much work needs to be done in the coming weeks to get the blog back to being the “Best Orlando Blog on the Web.” We need to start somewhere, and before we start the massive task of updating Walt Disney World for Beginners, we thought we would start with an annual favorite. Our Top 5 Walt Disney World Must-Dos for 2023 are the things we do not want to miss at Walt Disney World this year, and we don’t think you should too.
If you are wondering how we got on with our 2022 list, we have recently published a post updating our hits and misses.
As always, don’t be shy, and leave a comment below if we missed your Must-Do experience.
Visit Space 220
I wasn’t sure what to expect when we visited Space 220. Disney has been criticized recently, but Space 220 is Disney Imagineering at its best.
Take a journey from EPCOT to 220 miles above the earth. How you get to the destination is all part of the fun. Dine as you watch the sights in space and down below. It really is tremendous fun, but it isn’t cheap. Getting a reservation is also a challenge, but tables are somewhat easier to obtain in the lounge. The lounge also has a more affordable small bites menu, compared to the current price of $79 for dinner in the restaurant.
We love Resort Hopping. We even consider ourselves to be experts at it.
However, we don’t attempt any regular resort hop. Most people visit three or four resorts, often using the monorail. However, we try to visit them all in one day. Resort Hopping is undoubtedly on our agenda again this year, but we will likely do a more sedate hop.
See how we got on in our previous attempt at the Ultimate Disney World Resort Hopping Challenge.
Visit an Old Attraction
It has been a long time since I have visited the Hall of Presidents, Country Bear Jamboree, or the Enchanted Tiki Room. Last year we eventually visited Tom Sawyer’s Island; perhaps 2023 should be the year we revisit one of these historical attractions.
Make Rope Drop
It will never happen, we once did it at Sea World, but despite the advice, we give on this site, we have never made a Rope Drop. 2023 will be the year I think we will do it!
Ride one of the New Walt Disney World Attractions.
If you have not been to Walt Disney World for a number of years, many new attractions have opened. TRON Lightcycle / Run is the big new attraction for this year, and I can’t wait to ride. However, having watched videos of the attraction, I think some different recent attractions top my must-do list.
Top of this list is Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. All top attractions you must do in 2023. Hopefully, the opening of TRON Lightcycle / Run might lead to some lighter lines for some of them.
One post down, another 50+ to go. Keep returning to ModernLifeisGood as we create the Ultimate 2023 Walt Disney World and Orlando planning guide.
