School of Witchcraft and Wizardry – Enigma Quests

Enigma Quests are a small Quest/Escape Room company located near Liverpool Street Station in London. During Halloween Week, we played their School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Quest.

Although the marketing can’t state Harry Potter or Hogwarts, there is no doubt where Enigma Quests got its inspiration from for the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The premise is simple, complete a series of challenges to graduate from the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As you would expect for an Escape Room, the challenges are not simple, and you will have to work as a team to graduate. Teams will be graded on how much of the tasks they complete, from Troll to Outstanding. Guess who graduated with outstanding?

Reviewing an Escape Room is tricky as we mustn’t give anything away about the quest. There are loads of escape room companies in London, and we do not have enough knowledge to compare where Enigma Quests fits in. However, we did think it was excellent, and a 5-star rating on Trip Advisor would suggest others do too. In addition, it was the only place visited on our recent trip to London where COVID safety precautions appeared to still be in place.

TheSchool of Witchcraft and Wizardry is a family-friendly experience. Our youngest child, age 10, thoroughly enjoyed the experience, but I probably wouldn’t recommend it for children much younger. Without giving anything away, the theming in the quest is superb.

Enigma Quests have two other quests available:-

  • The Million Pound Hesit:- Your challenge is carrying out the biggest heist in modern history.
  • Submarine: Mission Wavebreak:- Your team has to deactivate an atomic bomb.

Of course, this is not the only Harry Potter-based attraction in London. However, the biggest draw is arguably The Warner Brothers Studios Tour. Read our recent review of this brilliant attraction.
