We have had another slow-down here on Modern Life is Good in recent weeks. However, we are now starting our “Road to 2021 at Walt Disney World” series. Over the coming weeks, we will bring you all the latest news, tips, tricks, and rumors of what you can expect when visiting Walt Disney World in 2021. To starts things off, we highlight a big welcome change in the reopening of Walt Disney World World. Park Hopping is Returning!
For those readers unfamiliar with Park Hopping, Park Hopper tickets allow guests to visit more than 1 park at Walt Disney World each day. In the morning, you can visit the Magic Kingdom, but then visit Epcot for an evening stroll and dinner. Park Hopping allows increased variation and spontaneity in your vacation, but tickets do cost a little extra.
When Walt Disney World reopened, Park Hopping was suspended. Guests were restricted to visiting just one Walt Disney World Park a day, which had to be booked through the Disney Park Pass System. However, starting January 1, 2021, Park Hopping will be returning. Unfortunately, like everything, it will not be quite how you remember it!
Guests will still need to make a Disney Park Pass Reservation for their first park each day, and they must enter this park before trying to enter another. Guests will then be able to enter a second park during Park Hopper Hours. Park Hopping Hours are subject to change, but initially, they will be between 2 pm to close at all parks. Park Hopping will be subject to park capacity, and Disney advises you to check My Disney Experience for the latest information.
While the restarting of Park Hopping is welcome news it isn’t really the return of the full Walt Disney World Park Hopping Experience. Unfortunately, it is not likely guests will be doing the Four Park Challenge anytime soon. However, it is a small step in the return to normal service.
