Don’t skip Epcot
You will probably have heard that Epcot is currently undergoing some massive changes, but it would be a mistake to skip the park.
There is still a lot to do in Epcot, including some of the best attractions at Walt Disney World. Also, there are several new additions to the park during 2020, which you will not want to miss
You can probably do most of Epcot in 1 day
First-time visitors probably should spend two days at Epcot, but you can manage to do most of the main attractions in 1 day. However, you will need a plan and to consider what are your must-do attractions before your visit.
Have an Epcot FastPass Strategy
FastPass+ is Disney’s attraction reservation system and allows you to book attractions in advance of your visit.
There are now 3 big attractions in Epcot:
- Frozen Ever After
- Test Track
Disney only lets you pick one of these Group A attractions, which also includes Epcot Forever, in your initial FastPass selections. All other attractions at Epcot are in Group B, and you can book up to 2 attractions. Guests who fail to book a Group A Fastpass can use all 3 Fastpasses at Tier B.
We expect Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure to be added to the Group A list of attractions when it opens in summer 2020
We have created a FastPass+ Strategy for Epcot to make sure you can ride all 3 big attractions.
Don’t waste your FastPass selections
The following 4 attractions never need a Fastpass at Epcot even on the busiest days:
- Disney/Pixar Short Film Festival
- Turtle Talk with Crush
- Epcot Forever

Failed to get a Fastpass for Soarin? Get there for park opening. Lines will be quieter the first few hours each day.
In addition, lines are often shorter than the advertised waits towards park closing.
Eat at Epcot
Epcot is the center for Walt Disney World Cuisine. With restaurants from all around the world, there is something that will appeal to everyone.
However, restaurants do book up, and it essential you have booked your reservations in advance. Don’t expect to get a favorite dining location on the day, especially during free dining. If standby reservations are available, expect a lengthy wait.
Have access to the park Wi-Fi.
Don’t even consider entering a Walt Disney World Park in 2020 without access to Wi-Fi.
Online access is essential in Walt Disney World. The My Disney Experience App is your essential guide to wait times, maps, showtimes & a lot more. Plus you can reserve FastPass+ & make dining reservations on the App.
