Are you planning a Walt Disney World Vacation in 2020? Our Top 10 Walt Disney World Tips 2020 will help you plan a brilliant vacation. These Walt Disney World Hacks will get you ahead of the crowd.

Create a vacation plan
We all like to relax on vacation taking each day as it comes, but Walt Disney World is one vacation you must plan!
None of the Disney Parks can be completed in just one day. Depending on the length of your trip, you will have to prioritize your must-do attractions.
Our Free Walt Disney World Planners are a great resource that can help create a perfect Walt Disney World Vacation Plan.

Master Fastpass+
Fastpass+ is Disney’s attraction reservation system and allows you to book attractions in advance of your visit. Mastering the system is a crucial component for creating a successful Walt Disney World plan.
Your Fastpass+ reservation will enable you to join a much shorter queue so you can experience the ride quicker. Not having reservations will mean longer waits and completing fewer attractions.
There are a whole host of rules over Fastpass+ . The best Fastpass slots do go to those who know the system and book early. Our Guide to Fastpass+ will give you all the essential information.
Have access to the park Wi-Fi.
Online access is essential at Walt Disney World, and we even previously said it was our Number 1 Walt Disney World Top. Wi-Fi is available throughout all parks and resorts at Walt Disney World.
Having access to WiFi allows you to access My Disney Experience. The My Disney Experience App is your essential resource for reservations, wait times, maps, showtimes, and more.

Get to the park early
In 2020 we think getting to the park early is more important than ever.
Failed to get a Fastpass for Space Mountain, Soarin, or Slinky Dog Dash? Get to the park for opening. Lines will be quieter the first few hours each day.
Currently, the only way to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is to join a virtual boarding line. At the moment, these are even running out before the park’s official opening time!
There will be changes to Fastpass+ at Hollywood Studios as we enter 2020, but if you fail to get a Fastpass getting to the park early will remain your best chance of riding.

Pace yourself & have breaks
Walt Disney World can’t be done in just 1 or 2 days. If you go charging around the World on your first day, trying to do all those big attractions, you will burn out.
The Orlando heat can be heavy going, especially in the summer months. Plan to have a break during your day and return in the evening. Our Guide to Orlando Weather has plenty of other tips to beat the heat.
Have plenty to drink
Dehydration and sunstroke are easy to acquire but easy to prevent.
Not drinking enough is perhaps the biggest mistake you can make at Walt Disney World. Carry water and drink regularly. There are plenty of free water points, and all counter service restaurants will give you a complimentary glass of water.

Make sure the kids are tall enough to ride
Make sure everyone who wants to is big enough to ride. Disney enforces height limits rigidly & having a Fastpass will not change the rules.
If the kids are too small, it does not mean others have to miss out. Rider Switch allows guests with small children to take turns riding while another adult stays with the child. Read our Guide to Rider Switch to learn more.
Avoid major holidays
This might be unavoidable, but if you can, avoid major holidays.
The park is at its busiest during summer and public holidays. The parks during these times will be crowded, but you can still have a great time. Our Guide to Avoiding Crowds at Walt Disney World has further information.

Book dining reservations in advance & use mobile ordering
Dining reservations at Walt Disney World open 180 days in advance, and the most popular venues book up fast. Don’t expect to get a favorite dining location on the day, especially during free dining. If standby reservations are available, you will often experience length waits.
If visiting a counter service location, if available, use mobile ordering. It is a brilliant time-saver.
Visit a Disney Outlet
Do you want to save some money on your park souvenirs?
Disney’s Character Warehouse is a Disney Outlet where excess Disney Theme Park merchandise is sold at a heavily discounted price. Many of the items are still available at a higher price inside the parks.
There are 2 outlets you can visit:-
- Orlando Premium International Outlets on International Drive
- Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets near Disney Springs
