After 12 nights at Walt Disney World, you would think Mrs. Modernlifeisgood has been in enough Walt Disney World shops. However, you would be wrong as she has become aware there is another Disney Character Warehouse close to Universal on International Drive.

For those unfamiliar; Disney Character Warehouse is a Disney Outlet where excess Disney Theme Park & Cruise Line merchandise is sold. Many items are heavily discounted in the stores, and guests can grab themselves a “bargain.”
However, your definition of “bargain” probably depends on which camp you sit in:
- The Mrs. Modernlifeisgood camp who see the same items they can get in the parks at much lower prices. Plus items which are now so heavily discounted they are must-buy just because they are a “bargain.”
- My camp who believe the items are only in the Character Warehouse because nobody wanted to buy them. Also, my camp feels the prices were previously so high you are now paying the items true worth.
Not wanting the opportunity to miss a Disney Bargain, Mrs. Modernlifeisgood, and Miss. Modernlifeisgood this morning visited this Character Warehouse. Returning with bags bulging of Walt Disney World goodies including a very nice Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Shirt for myself.

While they were out bargain shopping, Little Miss Modernlifeisgood and I spent the morning at the Hard Rock Pool. The pool at Hard Rock is superb; massive, not too deep and tunes playing for you to enjoy. There are even speakers under the water, so you don’t miss a beat. Unfortunately, it was a little hot, and by early afternoon we were a bit too red.

For dinner, we ate at the BeachClub at Hard Rock. The BeachClub is located near the pool, and although the food was good, it is ridiculously expensive. However, we were finished in time for evening drinks at the Rock Royalty Lounge.
Evening drinks at the Rock Royalty Lounge has become a tradition on this vacation. Every night between 5-7 guests who have club lounge access can receive complimentary wine & beer. There are also some basic cocktails available plus hors d’ oeuvres are also served.

Lounge access is a great perk, but we do not think the lounge is as good as its equivalent at Loews Royal Pacific. The room is far too small for the number of guests who have access, and getting a seat is not always easy. Also, food was not as good as that served at Loews Royal Pacific. Both the hors d’ oeuvres and breakfast are very basic. However, the free drinks are rather good!
The evening was spent at the parks including getting the Hogwarts Express between Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. We had intended to watch the evening show Universal Orlando’s Cinematic Celebration, but the weather did not look good and decided to give it a miss.

Tomorrow it is Mrs. Modernlifeisgood’s birthday and our last full day in Orlando.
