Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood is the newest restaurant to open at Walt Disney World on July 9, 2019. The restaurant is located on the top floor of the brand new Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. We obtained a booking as soon as we realized it was available on the Disney Dining Plan.

Gran Destino Tower is a stunning new venue, and all guests will inevitably be impressed by the new lobby for Disney’s Coronado Springs Resorts. Reception and concierge have moved into this new area, plus there is a welcoming Barcelona themed bar in the lobby.

Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood is on the top floor of Gran Destino Tower, and the Dahlia Lounge is adjacent to it.

The Dahlia Lounge has a balcony which provides views of Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Blizzard Beach & the Animal Kingdom. You could even get a glimpse of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort was previously themed around Colonial and Ancient Mexico. However, since the recent renovations, the theme is now a bit unclear with a blend Spanish, Mexican and Southwest American cultures being featured in various parts of the resort. The theme of Gran Destino Tower is Spanish, and that includes the Toledo Restaurant.

The restaurant is large and spacious with large windows looking out at various parts of Walt Disney World. A large pair of olive trees are the main internal feature. Unfortunately, we were not given a window seat.

A glance at the menu and you would suspect that Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood would be a Disney Signature Restaurant. However, surprisingly, it currently costs only one credit on the Disney Dining Plan. While there is a selection of tapas and small plates available, these are for a la carte purchase only.

The entrees and desserts are of a much higher price than standard Disney restaurants. Also, the quality is in line with what you usually receive in a Signature venue. In fact, we thought it was better than several current Signature Disney World Restaurants. There have been varying reports on whether Toledo will become a Signature dining location in future, but you should certainly consider booking if you are currently on the Disney Dining Plan.
In addition to the excellent food service was first class. Full explanations were provided for each dish, and our waiter even allowed us to taste several wines before deciding what we wanted to accompany our meal.
We will certainly be visiting Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood on our next visit to Walt Disney World.

The earlier part of our day was spent in Hollywood Studios. Hollywood Studios seems to be very busy each time we visit on this vacation. Waiting times are long, and we did wait considerably longer than advertised for Alien Swirling Saucers. After our dinner at Toledo, we spent our last few hours in the Magic Kingdom. We seem to be having great success visiting the Magic Kingdom later on in the day.
Tomorrow we are off to Animal Kingdom. You can catch up with all our daily Disney World Live Blogs for 2019 by clicking the link.
This was a great read! It certainly seems Toledo is worth that 1 dining credit. Loved the pictures!
Thanks for getting in touch. It is a fantastic restaurant.
