We are continuing our list of favorite and least favorite attractions at Walt Disney World throughout the week on Modern Life is Good. Today it is the turn of Epcot, the 2nd Theme Park to open at Walt Disney World. Epcot is currently undergoing some significant changes, but there are still plenty of attractions to choose from. The entire family got involved in the discussion, and this is our list of What we Love & What we Hate at Epcot.

What we Love at Epcot
Test Track
Test Track was my choice and has been one of my favorite rides in Walt Disney World since my first visit. Guests get to design their own car and then test it on a simulated test track.
Test Track is the fastest ride in Walt Disney World reaching speeds of almost 65 miles per hour. The ride is great fun and one of the most popular in the park. Despite the high speeds, it is a great family attraction.
Test Track does close whenever there is inclement weather. In our opinion, you should try and book your Fastpass for the morning to avoid afternoon storms.

Frozen Ever After
Frozen Ever After was Mrs Modernlifeisgood’s choice. The attraction opened on June 21, 2016 and has been the most popular attraction in the park ever since.
Frozen Ever After is located in the Norway Pavilion on the site of the former Maelstrom attraction. The ride makes use of the same track and vehicles as Maelstrom but some stunning Audio-Animatronics have been added.
Make sure you order a Fastpass prior to arrival or expect long waits.

Soarin’ Around the World
Soarin was the choice of Miss Modernlifeisgood(age 15). Soarin’ Around the World is a hand gliding motion simulator that takes guests over various regions of the world.
The video for Soarin was recently updated and an extra cinema was added due to the historical lengthy waits. I think I am isolated on this but I prefer the old California video, but Miss Modernlifeisgood thinks the new version is fantastic.

Spaceship Earth
“I find it fun!” was Little Miss Modernlifeisgood’s(age 8) response when we queried her choice of attraction. However, she ensures us Spaceship Earth is her Top Epcot Attraction.
Spaceship Earth is one of the most recognisable structures in any theme park worldwide. Inside is a 15-minute ride that shows the advancement of human communication. Spaceship Earth is a dark ride and is built on an omnimover system.
Spaceship Earth is rumoured to be having a significant upgrade in the next few years. The attraction has long lines in the morning, due to its proximity to the park entrance, and should be avoided if you don’t have a Fastpass. However, in the evening Spaceship Earth usually has no wait and is a walk-on attraction.

What we Hate at Epcot
Mission Space
Mission Space was Mrs Modernlifeisgood’s, Little Miss Modernlifeisgood’s and my choice. The selection did seem a little odd as neither Mrs Modernlifeisgood or Little Miss Modernlifeisgood have ever ridden the attraction.
“I know I would hate it!” was Mrs Modernlifeisgood’s response to why she had selected Mission Space.
Mission Space is a simulator ride that is meant to replicate what an astronaut might feel in space. The ride has recently been updated.
I don’t get Mission Space…It just feels a bit odd and not very enjoyable. A ride I am happy to give a miss if time is tight.

Living with the Land
“There are only so many times you can look at plants” was Miss Modernlifeisgood’s explanation for picking Living with the Land. She has a point as the attraction is long and never seems to change.
Living with the Land is a narrated boat ride in which you will visit various greenhouses and learn about future agriculture innovations. The attraction is interesting but will not appeal to small children,
Unfortunately, many of these future innovations in agriculture have been getting highlighted for 20 years. Presumably, the future should be here by now, or it just isn’t happening.
