Single Rider Lines at Walt Disney World

March 26, 2019 by @Modlifeisgood Leave a Comment

What is Single Rider at Walt Disney World?

Can you not get a Fastpass for all your must-do attractions at walt Disney World?

Are you happy to ride on your own?

Then the Single Rider Line might just be your solution. The Single Rider Line is available at a limited number of attractions. Riders simply join the Single Rider Line and when a gap becomes available a cast member will fill it with a single rider. However, you will not be seated with your friends and family.

Will it save me time?

The Single Rider Line almost always saves time and can be even faster than the Fastpass Line. However, it isn’t guaranteed & there is no control on how many guests enter this line. If there are no odd-numbered parties then the Fastpass and Standby Lines takes priority.

Will they let me ride with my kids?

No! Single rider means single rider. Your kids will have to ride on their own. Arguing or pleading with a cast member will not achieve anything.

What attractions is Single Rider available on at Walt Disney World?

Walt Disney World has not embraced this as much as other theme parks, e.g. Universal Orlando. Currently, Single Rider is only available for

  • Test Track
  • Expedition Everest
  • Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.

There is a line at Flight of Passage but to date there has been no reports of it being open.

Will it be open?

There are no guarantees. On busy days towards the end of park hours, they sometimes close the line early.

Should I get a Fastpass instead?

This all depends on whether you are happy to ride on your own.

Getting a Fastpass for all your must-do attractions is never easy e.g. at Epcot you can only get 1 Fastpass in advance for one of:

  • Frozen Ever After
  • IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth
  • Soarin’ Around the World
  • Test Track
  • Epcot Charcter Spot

Riding single rider at Test Track allows you to get a Fastpass for one of these additional attractions.

Things to remember

If using the Single Rider Line these are thing you must remember:

  • The whole family can join the line together.
  • You will ride on your own and this includes the kids.
  • Height restrictions are still enforced
  • There is no reservations possible for the Single Rider line and it is not guaranteed to be open.
  • While it will probably save you time it isn’t guaranteed.
  • You will join a separate line and will miss most interactive elements.
