Chefs de France Review Epcot

March 10, 2019 by @Modlifeisgood Leave a Comment

The description on the Walt Disney World is undoubtedly tempting “Be transported to the heart of Paris at this charming café. With its high ceilings, intricate mosaic flooring and expansive windows looking out onto the promenade, this bright and airy restaurant features innovative French cuisine.” However, Chefs de France never quite hits the heights of either the descriptions or your expectations.

There is nothing wrong with the food at Chefs de France, and in fact, we have had several good meals. However, we always leave the restaurant feeling somewhat underwhelmed. The food is good but isn’t perhaps as good as you anticipate from reading the menus. In addition it isn’t in my opinion the Nouvelle Cuisine the Walt Disney World website describes. Perhaps the problem is the high standards you expect from Walt Disney World restaurants. Despite my reservations, the food at Chefs de France is better than the majority of in Disneyland Paris!

The restaurant itself is very crowded, and we have experienced several long waits to be served. Very few of the tables look out on to the World Showcase, and gaps between tables are small. The restaurant is just too big to pull off the “charming cafe” theme successfully.

However, it isn’t all bad and the food is usually good. If you are eating on the Disney Dining Plan the Chefs de France does represent good value. Your meal costs 1 table Sevice Credit on the Disney Dining Plan. Also, there is the option to have a fixed price 3-course meal which costs just 1 Disney Dining Plan credit.

Allergies are catered for, and there is a kid’s menu. Visit our guide to learn more about Dining with Allergies at Walt Disney World. Reservations are recommended and you can book before you visit through the Advanced Dining Reservations system. As Chefs de France is inside Epcot you must have a valid park ticket to dine.

In our opinion, there are better restaurants at Epcot than Chefs de France. However, if you should go, you will probably have a good rather than a fantastic meal.
