The Magic Kingdom is the World’s most popular theme park. You can guarantee whenever you visit there will be large crowds plus on occasions these crowds will be massive. To maximise your day at The Magic Kingdom, it is essential you plan your day. Our Magic Kingdom Tips & Tricks for 2019 will help you have a fantastic vacation.
Don’t attempt to do it all in 1 day.
The Magic Kingdom is a massive theme park with lots of attractions. Attempting it all in 1 day will probably lead to failure, tiredness & grumpy kids. If your visit only allows for 1 day make a list of your must-do attractions.
If you have time visit on 2 or even 3 days. This will also make your Fastpass strategy easier.
Have a Fastpass Strategy
Visiting Disney World now requires a Fastpass strategy. Fastpass+ is Disney’s attraction reservation system. Fastpass+ allows you to book attractions in advance of your visit. Guests not having a Fastpass have to join a longer standby line.
There are no tiered Fastpass selections in the Magic Kingdom but you are still limited to 3 in advance reservations. Unfortunately, the most popular attractions are likely to have run out of Fastpasses once your initial selections are used. ggkgkhjghkjgkhjhgkhjhgkgkjgkhjgkjgkgkgkgkgkkkkk
In our opinion, the following attractions should usually be Fastpass selections at The Magic Kingdom.
- Peter Pan’s Flight
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- Big Thunder Mountain
- Splash Mountain
- Enchanted Tales with Belle
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Space Mountain
Make sure the kids tall enough to ride?
Before planning, attractions make sure everyone who wants to is big enough to ride. Disney enforces height limits rigidly & having a Fastpass will not change the rules. If the kids are not big enough to ride, make sure they know in advance.
The following attractions at the Magic Kingdom have height restrictions:
- Tomorrowland Speedway 32″ of 54″ to drive
- The Barnstormer 35″
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train 38″
- Big Thunder Mountain 40″
- Splash Mountain 40″
- Space Mountain 44″
- Plus if it ever reopens again Stitch’s Great Escape is 40″

Online access is essential when visiting Walt Disney World. Don’t even consider entering a Walt Disney World Park in 2019 without access to Wi-Fi.
The My Disney Experience App is your essential guide to wait times, maps, showtimes & a lot more. Plus you can reserve Fastpass+ & make dining reservations on the App.
