The Hard Rock Hotel Universal Orlando opened in 2001. The resort has 650 guest rooms & suites and is a Universal Premier Hotel.
This luxurious resort has extensive guest facilities including shops, bars, restaurants & a large pool which includes underwater speakers. There are rock memorabilia items throughout the resort. Music is played in all areas but it keeps to the theme of the resort and is not overbearing.
The resort is the closest hotel to the Universal Theme Parks being just a 5-minute walk. However; you can also catch a complimentary water-taxi if you would prefer not to walk. If you are visiting Islands of Aventure the water-taxi is a slightly quicker option. Free bus transfers are available to Volcano Bay.
All rooms include free WiFi, a large flat-screen TV an iPod docking station & coffee-making facilities. Amateur rock stars can even borrow a guitar to play in their room.
There is also a club level available for added luxury. Club guests have access to the Rock Royalty lounge. The lounge features daily complimentary continental breakfast and evening hors-d’oeuvres, beer and wine plus desserts. There is also a concierge service available.

Guests considering purchasing an express pass should do their maths before purchasing as staying in one of these resorts can often work out cheaper. Your Express pass will be valid on both arrival & departure dates.
Our Opinion on Hard Rock Universal Orlando
You can not beat the location of the Hard Rock Hotel Universal Orlando plus the theming of the resort is outstanding. All facilities are well designed and the grounds are beautiful. Plus the Rock Memorabilia throughout the resort adds to the magic. The resort music is carefully selected to enhance your vacation not drive it. The resort will appeal to young and old plus is great for families.
We loved the Hard Rock Hotel Universal Orlando and would love to stay there again on a future vacation.
