Following our controversial 5 Attractions to Skip at The Magic Kingdom here are our 5 Attractions Not to Miss at The Magic Kingdom in 2018. Visiting these 5 attractions will make sure you have a great vacation at Walt Disney World.
The Magic Kingdom has loads of fantastic rides including many Disney Classics. However; some are better than others. These are my Top 5 I wouldn’t miss on any trip.
The Ultimate Disney Classic is Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Loved by everyone including the young and old.
Lines are much quicker now there are 2 carousels. Not one you need to get a Fastpass for unless the park is extremely busy.
4. Carousel of Progress
An often overlooked Disney Classic. Designed by Walt himself for the 1964 New York World’s Fair. Most readers will consider this a controversial choice but I like it!
Rarely grabs a crowd but a catchy theme tune, good audio-animatronics & cool air conditioning make this a relaxing break.
3. Splash Mountain
Still, the greatest log flume and I have even been rescued from it!
Song of the South is not one of the most widely known Disney Films but it does not matter. The big drop is great and shouldn’t be missed.
You should get a Fastpass for this one.
2. Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater
Yes! You can meet Mickey Mouse in all the Theme Parks.
However; Mickey Mouse talks here. He does not anywhere else and it seems he might not be here soon either.
If rumours are to be believed you will have to be quick to catch this one.
The speech is fairly limited and full conversations are not possible. It is great fun although some people do find it a little creepy.
Unless the park is very quiet this is another where a Fastpass is rarely needed.
1. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
The long lines say it all the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is a popular attraction.
A unique rocking rollercoaster & a superb audio-animatronic mine scene. This ride appeals to all the family but the rollercoaster is quite fast although very brief.
Perhaps a bit too new to be called a classic ride but it soon will be. Fastpass is essential or expect a very long wait.
Is it worth the waits on our recent visit? I will let you decide if any attraction is worth a 4-hour wait!
