There is only one thing guaranteed to happen on any vacation the day will come when you have to return home. However, we first have a trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Plus will we make that early Fastpass for Flight of Passage?
We have had a great time in Orlando from Hard Rock Hotel to Epcot Flower & Garden Festival to our first Disney Cruise the trip has been full of excellent memories. Sadly today was the day we had to return home. However, first we had several things still to do.
- Pack our cases – done
- Check out of Disney’s Art of Animation – done
- Visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom – done
- Catch Disney’s Magical Express – done
- Get early to the Animal Kingdom to ride Flight of Passage – missed
Sadly this last challenge proved too much and we missed our hard to get Fastpass on Walt Disney World’s top attraction. Unfortunately, tired kids and packing meant we were never likely to get there for 8:30.

However, we still had a great few hours in the park completing Kilimanjaro Safaris, Dinosaur and various wildlife trails.
Walt Disney World has been great fun but the massive crowds have meant it has been a tiring experience.

Our flight was reasonable although delayed 2 hours. Thomas Cook Premium Class was significantly better than the economy class we flew out on. Celebrity Chef James Martin did not seem to be endorsing tonight’s meal. Perhaps he has gone into hiding after this recent publicity?

Arriving early into Gatwick we faced a tiring drive home. However, our adventures are not complete for 2018. We will be returning to Orlando in a few months time for more family fun.

We will be blogging live later in the year but for now, our story is complete. Thanks for reading along.
