We completed the number 1 item on Mrs Modernlifeisgood.com’s Disney World Bucket List today. For many years she has wanted to visit the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival. Today was the day we made Disney Dreams come true.
OK, I will be honest with you, it isn’t a life long dream to visit the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival but it was one of the drivers behind this vacation. When we initially planned this trip we had considered not visiting Disney World. However, the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival did persuade us to add Disney World back into our itinerary.

Now in its 25th year Epcot Flower & Garden Festival has become a key part of the Disney World Calendar. Don’t think this is just a garden festival for gardening enthusiasts. The festival contains something for everyone. Highlights for 2018 include
- Outdoor kitchens offering exciting food choices plus accompanying drinks.
- A concert series with scheduled performances most evenings.
- Themed gardens and wildlife habitats.
- Disney themed topiaries.
- Scavenger hunts

The transformation Epcot undertakes each year to hold the festival is impressive. The park looks beautiful and there is plenty to do. In addition all normal park activities are still open for guests to enjoy.

We enjoyed our day in Epcot and tasted many of the dishes in the outdoor kitchens. We also tried several of the accompanying beverages. Who would have thought pineapple wine would taste so good?

Unfortunately our day was cut short by heavy evening rain. Until this evening we had enjoyed good weather throughout this vacation.

We are planning to return to Epcot Flower & Garden Festival later this week. It is certainly worth a second visit.
