Unfortunately this is the 2nd attempt at creating today’s blog. My battered old iPad has needed a jumpstart to keep it going. Hopefully it will survive the rest of the trip.
Our day started at the Hyatt Palace Orlando Airport. Included in the hotel reservation was breakfast. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of hot and cold items. Overall we found the Hyatt Palace to be a good first night hotel which we would use again.
After breakfast we were off to the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Resort Orlando. We caught an Uber easily to take us to our next resort. The Hard Rock Hotel is a Rock Themed hotel with music memorabilia throughout the resort. Classic music is played throughout the resort. However, I am a little confused how Tiffany’s I Think We Are Alone Now was getting played in the elevator last night.

On checking into the Hard Rock you will encounter these 3 pictures of Rock Legends. Michael Jackson & John Lennon are obvious but who is the third? I think it is Prince but there are other suggestions including Mick Jagger. What do you think?

The day was spent between Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure. The parks were crowded as today we learnt was the official first day for Spring Break in Orlando. Our Express Pass included in our hotel booking proved to be essential.

For dinner we experienced for the first time the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium. This Wonkeresque restaurant has long been in our must-do list. Today we eventually visited , and this Chocolate Lovers Paradise did not disappoint.

We experienced chocolate bread, chocolate and ale chicken wings & onion rings with a coco dip for appetizers . All were amazing and I washed down with chocolate beer. Mains were slightly less chocolate themed but tasted equally as good.

Unfortunately we were too full to experience the famous sundaes or milkshakes. Hopefully we will have time to experience later in the trip.

If you have time check out the shop at the Chocolate Emporium it is magical.

Another day over and tomorrow we will have more time exploring Universal Orlando.
