Paris a global centre for art, fashion, gastronomy and culture. World famous landmarks include the Eiffel Tower and the 12th-century, Gothic Notre-Dame cathedral. The City is well known for its cafe culture and designer boutiques.
But forget all that! We are in Disneyland Paris and today we rode a teacup….well that was the plan. We will discuss why we didn’t later.

The day started early with a flight from Doncaster Sheffield Airport. The airport previously was called Robin Hood Airport but now seems to be mysteriously changing its name. Perhaps they realised that Robin Hood had nothing to do with Sheffield or Doncaster?
Our flight was to Charles De Gaulle after the hustle and bustle of our departure airport it was nice to arrive at a small local airport!
Obviously not quite true. Doncaster Sheffield is a tiny airport. More of a hut in a field. You could probably fit it 500 times into CDG.

On arrival at our resort, Sequoia Lodge our room was not ready. We decided to have lunch in Disney Village and visit the Disneyland park. The park is beautiful and has so many unique features. We rode Snow White and Small World which had been given a Christmas makeover. Christmas season finishes this weekend and the park was decorated beautifully.

Our plan was to return to our hotel, have a brief rest, have dinner & return to the park for the last few hours. That was the plan but it didn’t quite work.
Walking back to the resort I slipped and ended up taking a dive which Tom Daley would be proud of. I have knackered my shoulder and we have resisted so far going for an x-ray. However it looks like it could seriously alter our plans over the next few days.

Dinner was at Hunter’s Grill which is an outstanding buffet restaurant. Desserts were some of the best I have seen anywhere.

A mixed day today but time for an early night. The decision to catch an early morning flight in hindsight was a mistake.
Tomorrow we are off to the Studios. Hopefully we will have a great day and the shoulder will improve.
