What is Single Rider at Walt Disney World?
Happy to ride on your own? Can’t get a Fastpass? Then the Single Rider Line at a limited number of attractions could save you considerable time. As long as you are happy riding on your own when a gap becomes available a cast member will fill it with a single rider.
Will it save me time?
In theory yes but it is not guaranteed. If there are no gaps then the Fastpass and Standby Line take priority.
Will they let me ride with my kids?
No! Single rider means single rider.
Your kids will have to ride on their own.
What attractions is it available on?
Walt Disney World has not embraced this as much as other theme parks e.g. Universal Orlando. Currently it is only available for Test Track, Expedition Everest & Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.
There is a line at Flight of Passage but to date there has been no reports of it being open.
Will it be open?
There are no guarantees. On busy days towards the end of park hours they sometimes close the line.
Should I get a Fastpass instead?
This all depends on whether you are happy to ride on your own.
Getting a fastpass for all your must-do attractions is never easy e.g. at Epcot you can only get 1 fastpass in advance for:
- Frozen Ever After
- IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth
- Soarin’ Around the World
- Test Track
Riding single rider at Test Track allows you to get a Fastpass for e.g. Frozen Ever After.
Similar strategies are possible in the other parks.
