Jewel of the Seas in Grenada

We continue our Southern Caribbean Vlog Series with a stop at Grenada.

Grenada and its capital St George is our next stop on Jewel of the Seas. We enjoy the Ultimate Sun Sea Fun Cruise which struggles to meet the description. Well, they got the Sea & Sun bit right unfortunately the Ultimate & Fun bit was somewhat lacking. The advertised beach stop & historical tour was all missing.

Grenada itself is a very beautiful island with crystal clear water & lush vegetation. Apparently it is known as the Spice Island and our Ultimate Sea, Sun & Fun Cruise was meant to tell us why.

Perhaps it was going to be on the advertised beach stop?

At least Wikipedia can help solve the mystery. Apparently Grenada is one of the largest exporters of mace & nutmeg.

We visited 2 snorkel sites including the Grenada Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park. The sculpture park is impressive and is designed to recover destroyed reefs.

We also had a delightful lunch on a beautiful treehouse island. Think Swiss Family Robinson.

Although the trip was a disappointment Grenada is a beautiful island with a beautiful coastline. Grenada is an island definitely worth visiting.
