The world’s busiest theme park never stays still for long. Back in 2012 we welcomed New Fantasyland. The following Magic Kingdom Updates have been announced for the next few years as it prepares for its 50th anniversary in 2021.
Main Street USAA new Broadway-Style Theatre is to be built on Main Street USA. Rumoured to fit a massive 2000 guests the new site has just started being built. We understand the building is to be based on the iconic Willis Theatre in the 1920s Kansas City.
The actual building is getting constructed on the backstage parking lot. No date has yet been set for the opening of the theatre or what shows it might hold.
AT D23 EXPO 2017, DISNEY PARKS CHAIRMAN BOB CHAPEK SHARED PLANS FOR A NEW ENTERTAINMENT VENUE COMING TO MAGIC KINGDOM PARK.A new Tron Coaster is being built in Tomorrowland. This new massive E-Ticket ride will be similar to the attraction in Shanghai Disneyland and will be an expansion of Tomorrowland. The best news being that Tomorrowland Speedway will not be getting removed to make space for the attraction.
A thrilling, Tron-themed attraction will be added in a new area near Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom Park.As we approach Disney World’s 50th Anniversary there is likely to be further Magic Kingdom Updates. We will keep you updated here.
