The big event today was the Family Magic Tour in Magic Kingdom.

But first time for another game of “What Did We Lose Today?”.
Room key?
Not this time but we have been there and done that.
A pair of jeans, shoes and first aid kit?
Not this time. That remains a mystery from our recent Lodge short break.
Sooty?
We have never lost a Sooty! That is my father’s speciality. Thanks for your recent comment Peter from Liverpool!
A hat?
Yes!
Surely not?…..AGAIN!!
Yes I managed to lose my second sun hat of the trip. The Character Warehouse “bargain” is no more.

Back to the Family Magic Tour.
The Family Magic Tour is an additional purchase event at Magic Kingdom. It is a 2 hour guided scavenger hunt around Magic Kingdom which is aimed at the whole family especially primary school children.

It consists of various games, character meets and front of line rides. The event finishes with meeting the “Boss Himself”. Activities & experiences do vary.
Up to 20 guests can be on the tour but today it was just us. It was very “Posh and Becks” having our own private guided tour around Magic Kingdom.

I will write a more thorough review of the Family Magic Tour after our vacation. We did enjoy the experience and is a fun way to spend a few hours.
The rest of our day was spent completing Fastpasses in the Magic Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom was incredibly crowded perhaps the busiest we have ever seen it. It took almost 1 hour to buy an icecream on Main Street. Although we had been worried about July crowds in Orlando apart from today they have been manageable. The biggest issue has been the very variable extreme weather.

Late afternoon we crossed over to the Polynesian Resort. We visited Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto a wacky cocktail bar loosely based on the Jungle Cruise. The Tiki Tiki TIki Tiki Tiki Rum is rather nice & highly recommended.

Dinner was at Kona Cafe also in the Polynesian. Yet again we had an excellent meal.
Whilst in the Polynesian it had rained heavily but had settled by the time we left.

We finished the day returning to Magic Kingdom grabbing a Fastpass for Peter Pan followed by Barnstormer and Dumbo. Availability of Fastpasses later in the day appeared good. Our experience so far on this trip is you can achieve a lot returning to parks early evening.
Another busy day. I wonder what we will lose tomorrow?
