Many Cruise Lines have invested millions in their onboard art collections. Harmony of the Seas is no different with a massive Art Collection onboard worth an apparent $6.5 million.
Royal Caribbean claim the are more pictures on the walls than the Louvre has paintings. In total the are over 3000 works onboard Harmony of the Seas. The Art Collection was inspired by the theme “The Wonder of Our World, The World We Live In.” Mariangela Capuzzo of International Corporate Art curated the collection. International Corporate Art have curated the art on all the Royal Caribbean ships.
Wherever you walk on Harmony of the Seas you will find parts of this extensive Art Collection. Every corridor and stairwell has some art for you to discover. Even with a trip to the restroom you will find something new.
The collection includes paintings, sculptures & photography. Many of the pieces were specifically created for Hamony of the Seas. Artists from more than 60 countries contributed to the collection.
The art onboard is modern and contributes to the brightness of the ship. It is more Las Vegas than Cunard. It varies from the wonderful to the slightly bizarre to the totally weird. However; it all contributes to the personality of this great ship.
Below are some of the pieces that stood out to us. If you want to find out more about harmony of the Seas visit our Cruise Portal.
