I like Italy. I like the people, the food and the history but I don’t like to visit the restroom.
Have you ever been to a toilet at a beach in Italy?
If you have you probably understand why I don’t like them.
I find Italian beaches a bit odd lots of rules and lots of extra charges. Which is even odder in a country where the locals don’t like to follow rules.
The beach itself is usually fairly pleasant. The restroom though is rarely the highlight.

The toilets were not very pleasant on our recent visit to an Italian beach. Dirty and a broken seat on the ladies toilet.
I took our 5-year-old girl to the restroom. Due to the broken toilet seat I tried to take her to the male toilets.
“You can’t take her in there it’s for men!” I was told.
“But the seat is broken! & she is too small to hold on” I protested.
“You can hold her” she replied.
So rather bizarrely I held my 5-year-old daughter on the toilet in the ladies restroom whilst she was banned from the male restroom.
We live in an odd world.
